Kapolei High School students, parents and teachers teamed up with local businesses and community volunteers to put on a first-ever Kapolei Community Fair Nov. 13-14, and according to school PCNC facilitator Lolita Takeda, there was something for everyone.

“It was truly a great event,” she said. “Kapolei High School teams and clubs were not only able to raise funds but at the same time we were able to do a whole lot of community service.”

Folks could recycle old computers, printers and other electronics at the Green Zone, and proceeds from a rummage sale benefited disaster victims in Samoa, Tonga and the Philippines. “Thank you, Class of 2011, Class of 2013 and Kapolei High PCNC, for successfully bringing the students and the community together,” Takeda said. “We’re already looking forward to next year’s (second annual) Kapolei Community Fair.”
