Del.icio.usThe Kapolei Golf Course was full of action Sept. 27 for the eighth annual Junior Achievement of Hawaii Golf Classic which drew 186 golfers. The Classic, sponsored by Finance Factors, was a success worthy of JA’s 50th anniversary. The fun included an awards ceremony emceed by Kimo Kahoano and more than $12,000 worth of prizes were given away during the event. In its history, the tournament has raised $500,000 for JA programs, helping it reach nearly 6,000 students statewide, teaching them about business, economics and free enterprise. Proceeds also fund two annual scholarships for high school seniors.
