On Nov. 7, Leeward Community College put on its Family Fun Fair for the 19th year in a row. Back were the local food market, where organic produce and locally crafted goods had customers lining up again and again.

Tours of the Fossil & Mineral Exhibit and the Garden Section were a big hit, as were CSI Leeward and the new Discovery Square exhibit, which was filled with more than 30 hands-on, family-friendly learning activities. This year’s fair teamed up with Aloha Aina Earth Day as a way to provide a convenient, one-stop recycling center for a large variety of items, including e-waste, tires, appliances and more. All proceeds from the drive went to the college.
