Lions Club Anniversary

Kapolei City Lions Club celebrated its fourth charter anniversary Nov. 16 at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. Instead of donning bathing suits, however, they suited up in creative costumes for the party’s “Pilgrim Era” theme - just in time for Thanksgiving! Members enjoyed the evening with dinner, entertainment, dancing and door prizes. The event benefitted the Lions Club International SightFirst Program which battles preventable blindness globally. SightFirst has also partnered with the World Health Organization forming an initiative to combat childhood blindness. The project is creating 30 centers for pediatric eye care around the world.
