Habilitat will host its 40th anniversary luau, auction and concert from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4 at King Intermediate School, a new site for the event, with top entertainment by Robi Kahakalau, Rebel Souljahz and Da Braddahs.

More than 2,000 people are expected at the benefit, which will serve up plenty of authentic Hawaiian food, including kalua pig, lomi salmon, chicken long rice, squid luau, beef stew, poi and haupia.

Live and silent auctions offer Mainland and neighbor island vacation getaways, sporting goods, artwork, furniture, musical instruments, electronics, gift certificates and more.

Recognized as one of the country’s largest and most successful substance abuse treatment programs, the Kaneohe center’s emphasis is on self-reliance, as it accepts no state or federal funding. Its programs are centered on academic and vocational training to help residents develop a healthier, more productive lifestyle.

Tickets cost $35, $15 for children 6 to 12 years old. Two family packages are available as well: $85 for two adults and two children or $85 for three adults. A reserved group table for 10 guests is $275.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call 235-3691.
