Kapunahala Health Fair At Mall

A health fair Saturday at Windward Mall will feature a mini fitness challenge among Castle Complex school teams and entertainment by the Paliku Academy of the Performing Arts.

The second annual Community Health Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is sponsored by the Kapunahala Elementary School Ohana and state Sen. Jill Tokuda, who chairs the Senate Education Committee.


Dozens of booths will offer information and activities on the theme of “Live Healthy ... one step at a time.“Also planned are health screenings, demonstrations and displays.

Participants include the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Castle High School,Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii, Community Children’s Council, state Department of Health - Early Intervention Section, Hawaii 5-2-1-0, Hawaii State Narcotics Enforcement, HMSA, Honolulu Police Department (Keiki ID), Learning Disabilities Association of Hawaii - EEIP School Readiness Project, Institute for Family Enrichment, KCC Medical Assisting, Physical Therapy Assistant and Radiologic Technology programs; Koolauloa Community Health & Wellness Center, PACT, Sauer Family Chiropractic, Waimanalo Health Center and Zumba Fitness.
