Reform is in the wind for the Castle Complex, and its 10 public schools will conduct elections toward that end from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ben Parker Elementary School cafeteria.

Spearheaded by complex area superintendent Lea Albert, the Castle Complex Community Council (C4) will organize to bring leadership and advocacy for the area’s public schoolchildren, devise a forum to review data and encourage dialogue, and create a means of discussing decisions to"make education work.”

The public is welcome to attend and comment at the meeting, which is a step toward educational reform throughout the state DOE. The local complex effort is supported by a grant from the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation.

“It is important to the success of any decisions made to involve those who will be affected by the changes,“said Albert.“It is also vital to have the community work with the schools in an informed way to partner in improving our children’s education.”
