Ahuimanu Elementary School’s annual Fun & Craft Fair should officially insert the word “family” into its name, because the ohana feeling glues it all together. After three decades, all the school’s kin have their act together and all their roles ready to roll. This year’s event, held on Sept. 15, was no exception. (You can tell the fair’s on by all the cars lining Hui Iwa Street.) There were loads of craft booths, good food, keiki games, Xtreme Fun Rentals and entertainment. A new addition this fall was a nine-hole miniature golf course in the cafeteria, which added to the fun. Along with fun comes funds, as each class earned money from its game booths, and the ‘Ohana earned vital budget money from its busy food concession.
