Who says business folks aren’t any fun? The Kailua Chamber of Commerce threw a fun pau hana party last month in the parking lot near the Kailua Information Center.

The theme, as usual for Kailua, was food, food, food. Four restaurants at Kailua Shopping Center dished up their best samples under the tents — Lanikai Juice, Aloha Salads, Elvin’s Bakery and Mexico Lindo. Attracting new blood this way is always a plus, says KCC president Ken Sanders: “We want everyone to know that they can join the Chamber on the spot if they wish, and that we are doing everything we can to help Kailua’s businesses.”

Credit the mini block party’s success to organizers Billy Pieper and Tomas Del Amo. For details on the August mixer, call 261-2727.
