The 10th annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction for Lanikai Public Charter School proved to be the best ever, declares PCNC Jennifer Stogner, who coordinated the March 8 event at Mid-Pacific Country Club. “We had our most successful auction to date with a lot of new items and great crafts. We made $18,000 for the school’s technology program.” About 200 guests also grazed at various food stations including a popular addition this year, roast beef sandwiches. Kalapawai Market provided the wine, and students and inventive families created some great auction packages - from a student-authored book to moonlit beach picnics and even a ‘sushi cruise.’ Now get ready for the May 24 Concert Under the Stars (Call 266-7848, ext. 231 for tickets.)
