Del.icio.usWith more than 200 tickets sold prior to their luau, the Pali Lions members and friends had their work cut out for them on Feb. 24 at St. Anthony’s Church. A big draw for the annual feast was the food, of course, coming from Lion Alan Young, who owns Young’s Fish Market. Top that off with music from local pro entertainers Martin Pahinui and Bobby Hall — how can they miss? The music theme continued at the silent auction, where guests could big on an eight-string ukulele and a two-puka koa tenor uke. Guests paid $25 per ticket to enjoy the evening, but the community will reap the final benefit. Proceeds help the club continue repairing, painting and building its way across the Windward landscape.
