Funny how fast an idea can become a tradition. Bringing the Kaneohe community together to showcase and support itself in a fun way began eight years ago. Now the crowd comes to the Windward Community College campus every fall and expects the best in food, music, handmade Hawaiian crafts as well as college campus tours and reunions with friends and neighbors. This year on Sept. 27, they got it all - and more - because the weather volunteered to be very, very good for a change. Coordinated by a close partnership between the Kaneohe Business Group and the college, the 2008 Windward Ho’olaulea also helped establish a new WCC scholarship endowment fund through proceeds from a silent auction.
