Castle Tennis Sisters Earn OIA Honors

Castle High School’s Genoa Morton has been named the Oahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Conference Girls Tennis Player of the Year.


A senior, Morton teamed up with sister Elora Morton to form the OIA’s championship doubles team during the recently completed season. Elora Morton was also named to the First Team along with teammate Desiree Adur. Castle’s Bruce Lee was named the East’s Coach of the Year.

In the boys division, the Knights also boasted a First Team selection in Colin Fujishige. Kailua had three of its team members - Coleman Mira-Naeole, Jason Lum and Ryan Kido - make the East’s First Team. Michael Rothhammer was named to the Second Team from Kalaheo. Boys and Girls All-Star selections are made by the East coaches.
