Basketball standout Junior Ale has accepted a scholarship to play for BYU-Hawaii. He led Kahuku High to the state tourney for two seasons, was a First Team All-Star in the OIA East and the state’s leading scorer at 23.6 points a game.

Ale, a 6-2 guard, also scored a career-high 38 points in a post-season semifinal game. One of the top volleyball players in the state, he was OIA’s Player of the Year this basketball season and graduated from Kahuku with honors.

“He’s the best player I’ve seen at Kahuku in the 14 years I’ve been here,” said BYUH head coach Ken Wagner.
