The Brigham Young University-Hawaii women’s basketball team is in the midst of a 14-day layoff between games before embarking on its inaugural Pacific West Conference season. The Seasiders, who took a 2-8 record into the holiday break, begin play in the Pac-West next week.

On Jan. 3 and 4, BYUH will host Notre Dame de Namur. Grand Canyon visits BYUH for a game on Jan. 6. All three games are set to begin at 5 p.m. at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.

The Seasiders are led by former Kahuku High School standout and Alcorn State-transfer Latoya Wily, who is averaging 17.1 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. Artevia Wily and Kayla Burningham are averaging 14.4 and 12.8 points per game, respectively, for BYUH.
