St. John Vianney School’s inaugural Swing for Education benefit golf tournament has been rescheduled for June 19 at Mid-Pacific Country Club, the school announced recently.

All tournament proceeds for the event, which will begin at 10 a.m., will go toward the St. John Vianney Education Foundation, which was established in 1991 to make funds available for families requiring financial assistance, and to further develop the school’s technology education program for students. The tournament was originally scheduled for March, but had to be postponed because of heavy rains.

Onsite player registration will begin at 10 a.m. with an 11:30 shotgun start. The format will consist of a three-man scramble with a minimum of three drives and automatic three putt. Golfers can enjoy on-course refreshments, and chipping and putting contests. Dinner will follow the tournament at 5 p.m. and feature a silent auction and entertainment.

Players are encouraged to register in advance. Teams of three are $550, and individual players are $185. The cost for dinner only is $40 per person. Sponsorships also are available at three levels: Eagle ($1,500), Birdie ($1,000) and Par ($750). For more information, call St. John Vianney School at 261-4651.
