Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Michele Hulme has been named vice president of design and visual merchandising for Maui Divers Jewelry. She will be responsible for managing and directing the company’s jewelry designs as well as store presentation, which includes windows, in-store visuals and other displays. Hulme joined Maui Divers Jewelry in 1978.

Yvonne Yanagihara Goss has joined Hawaiian Telcom as retail sales manager. Goss will manage Hawaiian Telcom’s eight retail stores statewide. Her career path includes working as a regional director for Hawaii for T-Mobile USA from 1996 to 2006.
Katie Gallo has been promoted to account executive for the Harris Agency. She’s spent the past eight years in marketing and advertising working with a variety of clients.
Rick Mishima has been appointed front office manager for the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. He began his career with the Starwood ohana as a guest services manager at the Princess Kaiulani hotel in 2005. He has more than 10 years of experience in the hotel industry.
Stephanie Kim has been appointed director of government relations for the UH system. Kim has served as the acting director since January 2006 and prior to that was the university’s government relations state liaison for six years.
Kathleen Herbst has joined the Harris Agency as media director. She previously served as marketing manager for MidWeek and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. She has extensive experience in the Honolulu advertising community with both marketing and media planning/buying, serving as media director, marketing manager and senior media planner with several major companies.
Gloria Cheung has been named hotel manager of the Moana Surfrider. Cheung will manage the front office, housekeeping, guest services, guest relations, engineering, and security departments. Cheung has more than 10 years of experience with Starwood.
Franklin Clay has been named senior account executive for Communications Pacific. He will be responsible for media relations and corporate communications for a variety of clients. Clay has three years of experience in the public relations field.
Crystal Trow has been promoted to Kalia Tower lobby manager for the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Trow will oversee the front office operations, concierge, front and valet services for the Kalia Tower.
Ai Lee Wong has been promoted to employee relations and quality training manager for the Hilton Hawaiian Village. She will implement employee relations programs for team members at the hotel. She joined the Hilton in January 2006 as employee relations coordinator.
