Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Bonnie W. Fong has been promoted from vice president of private client services sales and marketing to senior vice president of private client services and manager of personal trust for Bank of Hawaii. She has more than 21 years of experience in the wealth management industry.
Antony “Tony” M. Orme has been hired as senior vice president of trust and private banking sales for Bank of Hawaii. Orme served previously as the national sales manager for the wealth management division of City National Bank in Beverly Hills.
Karen Walker was named manager of the mortgage banking department for First Hawaiian Bank. Walker has more than 18 years of financial services and mortgage banking experience and previously held management positions at TransAmerica Financial Services, Washington Mutual Bank and Countrywide Home Loans.
Kendall J. H. Wong was promoted from vice president and Kaneohe branch manager to vice president and area manager of the Kaneohe branch for First Hawaiian Bank. Wong is responsible for overseeing Kaneohe Bay, Kaneohe and Kailua branches. He joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1992 as assistant branch manager with the firm’s Creditcorp subsidiary.
Katharine H. Kam was promoted from branch manager to assistant vice president and branch manager of the Mililani branch of First Hawaiian Bank. Kam has more than 22 years of banking experience and is responsible for overall sales and branch operations. She joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2000 as a personal banking officer.
Paula Ogimi was promoted from personal banking officer to branch manager Ewa Beach Branch for First Hawaiian Bank. Ogimi is responsible for overseeing branch operations. She joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2003 as a personal banker.
Barbara Jeanne “BJ” Whitman has been elected to the Public Relations Society of America’s College of Fellows. She served as PRSA Hawaii president in 1996, and has held both local and regional leadership roles in PRSA since 1983.
Catherine Tanaka has been promoted to chief operations officer of the Hawaii Medical Center for the East and West campuses. Tanaka has been chief operations officer of HMC East since January 2007 and will now also oversee HMC West.
Randy Iwashita has been named business manager for Sacred Hearts Academy. His responsibilities include budget, accounting, financial management and supervision of human resources. Iwashita previously served as a comptroller at TeamPraxis.
Nicole Cabral has been appointed to director of membership and marketing of the Mililani YMCA. She previously worked at a credit union where she served as a marketing representative and coordinator.
Tobias Ragossnig has been hired as membership and marketing director for the Nuuanu YMCA. His responsibilities include increasing membership and improving retention as well as planning and overseeing marketing communication materials. Ragossnig was previously senior manager of health, wellness and enrichment for the YWCA of Oahu.
Charles Pettiford III has been promoted to senior director of membership and healthy lifestyles at the Central Branch of the YMCA of Honolulu. He joined the YMCA of Honolulu in 1995.
