Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Kristy Anderson has been named as a previews team member for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. In 2003, Anderson was an Aloha Aina Award winner and honored as a top lister and top producer within the company. She is also a licensed marriage and family therapist.
Leigha Oaks has been hired as an interior designer for Ten Interiors. Oaks works closely with the senior interior designers, assisting them in all phases of design, including furniture selection, creating material boards and presentation drawings and modeling.
Damien Kim has been elected as business manager/ financial secretary for The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Kim has been a licensed construction electrician in Hawaii for more than 20 years and will provide leadership for the next three-year term.
John Steinmiller has been appointed previews specialist for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. Steinmiller works in the company’s Kahala office and has been a full-time Realtor since 1989. Prior to joining the real estate industry, he served as an associate producer and news writer for KITV-4 News.
Gary Miyakawa has been hired as project coordinator for WCIT Architecture. Miyakawa has 16 years of architectural experience and has worked on projects for Sheraton Maui, Hawaii Convention Center and Ritz-Carlton Mauna Lani.
Sheri Leehas been appointed DOE assistant superintendent for human resources. Lee has more than 25 years’ experience in personnel management in the private sector. She most recently served as the director of human resources for the Safeco Corporation, a property and casualty insurance company in Seattle.
Richard S. Abe has been named principal engineer for Belt Collins Hawaii Ltd. Prior to joining the firm, Abe served as civil engineer, engineering team leader and senior technical adviser for the Regional Business Technical Division at Headquarters, Pacific Ocean Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Shafter.
Kevin B. Miyahira has been appointed payroll/HRIS and benefits administrator for Island Insurance Company Ltd. Miyahira will be responsible for overseeing dayto-day operations of the HR Information System, as well as payroll functions, including multi-state and multi-company payroll setup, entry, processing, reporting, analysis and tax compliance. He has 15 years of human resources experience.
Carol Riley has been named head of school for Hongwanji Mission School. Riley has experience teaching in elementary, middle and high schools, as well as serving in many educational administrative positions. She previously taught courses in education and supervised student teachers at the University of Phoenix, Hawaii campus.
Kayo Mamaclay has been promoted to customer relations manager for wincubic Inc., a Honolulu-based multi-media corporation. Mamaclay joined the firm in May 2007 as an account executive. Her responsibilities include coordinating the efforts of the customer relations staff to promote advertising opportunities for Wincubic’s Aloha Street magazine and sister website of aloha-street.com.
Erin Cooper has been named a previews team member for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. Cooper has been recognized as one of the top salespeople and listing agents for the Windward office. She is also a member of the International President’s Circle in honor of her significant sales achievements.
