Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Keith Gurney has been appointed region manager of services for Xerox Hawaii. Gurney will oversee more than 120 employees within the company’s newly combined Technical and Managed service departments, both in Hawaii and Micronesia. He has been with Xerox for more than 24 years.
Dean Fukawa has been promoted to senior associate for WCIT Architecture. In his new position, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and will be responsible for the direction and future goals of the Honolulu office. Fukawa has experience in hospitality, recreation, retail, residential, commercial and entertainment design.
Janet Yoshida Bullard has been hired as associate vice president of Alumni Relations for University of Hawaii Foundation. Prior to joining the foundation, Bullard served as senior director of marketing and promotions for Hawaiian Airlines. She has worked for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and the San Diego Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Ray Skinner has been named executive vice president of consumer banking for American Savings Bank. Skinner joins American Savings with much experience in consumer banking sales, service and operations. He will be responsible for the bank’s consumer banking operations.
Michelle McCain has been appointed real estate services coordinator in the asset services division for CB Richard Ellis. McCain has experience in technology sales and most recently served as account manager for ComputerLand of San Juan.
Nona Tamanaha has been appointed human resources director for Hawaii and French Polynesia by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii. Tamanaha began her career with Starwood in 1986 as a personnel training secretary. In her new position, her responsibilities include recruitment, selection and development of regional and property human resources directors in the region.
Sharon K. Ohata
has been appointed director of training and development for Island Insurance. Ohata’s responsibili-ties include design, development and implementation of company-wide employee training programs. She has more than 26 years of experience in the insurance industry and previously served as vice president of Claims Consulting Services at Atlas Insurance Agency.
Wayne Goo has been promoted to project manager for WCIT Architecture’s renovation projects at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Goo previously worked for Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (WATG) as an associate project manager.
Julia Matsuura has been hired as a client services specialist in the retail brokerage service division for CB Richard Ellis. Matsuura most recently served as a marketing and sales representative for the Honolulu Club where she created marketing strategies to increase and maintain membership.
Mark Egan has been named as a real estate manager for CB Richard Ellis’ asset services division. Prior to taking this position, Egan served as a property manager with Torrey Pines Property Management in San Diego, Calif.
Meleen L. Pang Corenevsky has been promoted to vice president and senior trust officer for Bank of Hawaii’s Foundation Administration Department. Corenevsky has been with the bank for 23 years and will continue to administer charitable trust and foundation accounts, with an emphasis on scholarships and endowments. She also will oversee department operations.
