Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Michelle Suzuki has been named merchant for Simply Organized, a new retail store set to open in Kapolei at the end of November. Suzuki has 14 years of retail merchandising experience and previously served as assistant division merchandise manager at Duty Free Shoppers. She will now be responsible for all merchandise sold at the new store.
Rochelle Ortiz has been appointed store manager for Simply Organized, a new retail store set to open in Kapolei. She will oversee all store operations. Ortiz most recently worked at sales manager at Borders (Pearlridge and Waikele), where she spent the last six years.
Shawn Ching will be joining the law firm Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda, specializing in commercial litigation. Ching began his TV news career at KITV in 1995 as sports director and became the weekday co-anchor in 2002. He passed the Hawaii State Bar exam in 2003. Ching will continue to anchor the 10 p.m. news through November.
Glenn Jinbo has been hired as Honolulu station manager for Aloha Contract Services, a division of Pacific Air Cargo. His duties include employee training compliance. As a former Aloha Airlines employee, Jinbo has more than 30 years experience in the airline industry, having also worked for American Airlines, Air New Zealand and Qantas Airways.
Lisa Souza has been promoted to manager - Homeowner Service Center for Castle & Cooke Hawaii. Souza previously served as manager of the Design Center. In her new position, she will oversee the Design Center as well as customer service. She first joined the company in 1988 as a junior host.
Craig McGinnis has been hired as vice president for Hunt Development Group . McGinnis will oversee The Waterfront at Pu’uloa (formerly the Iroquois Point Island Club), where he will be responsible for all development and asset management efforts. He previously served as vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle.
Matthew Morgan has been appointed cruise manager for Atlantis Submarines’ Atlantis Cruises operations . Morgan will be responsible for managing the guest services experience, as well as the food and beverage operations for their scenic sunset dinner cruises and seasonal whale watch cruises. He has more than two decades of food and beverage management experience.
Ann Takamori has been promoted to vice president of administration for Heide & Cook Ltd. Takamori previously served as controller, where she oversaw the accounting operations for the c ompany. Now she is responsible for reviewing contracts and overseeing costs of construction projects to ensure they are within budget for their clients.
John Uson has been hired as a project manager in the Asset Services division for CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) . Prior to joining CBRE he worked as a design consultant and project manager at Allana+Buick+Bers Inc. Uson also previously served as a quality assurance representative for Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii Inc.
