Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Amanda Raimo has been appointed marketing representative for Xerox Hawaii. Raimo will be responsible for providing new and existing clients with solutions to effectively manage their documents, allowing customers to focus on their core business.

Michael Person has been hired as printer specialist for Xerox Hawaii. He previously served as online marketing manager at Panda Travel. As printer specialist, Person will provide program support for the company’s marketing representatives, including identifying the best printing solutions for clients and keeping up to date on the newest printing products being developed.

Kara Moran has been named development associate for Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s administrative team. In this position, she manages HTY’s grants and corporate donations requests. Moran also is a children’s literature and screenplay writer, and previously served as an attorney with Chun, Kerr, Dodd, Beaman & Wong.

Mike Malik has been appointed as president for Aloha Air Cargo. He brings more than two decades of experience in the airline business and in his new position will be responsible for the overall operations of the airline. Malik previously served as senior vice president for the company and worked as chief information officer for Aloha Airlines.

Melvin H.W. Ing has been named telecommunications division manager for American Electric. Ing’s responsibilities include overseeing profit and loss as well as the sales and marketing for the division. He previously served as business development manager for Science Applications International Corporation and has extensive experience in customer service management and technical engineering.

Leann Yeung has been promoted to director of operations for Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC), a nonprofit organization supporting the advancement of Pacific Islander media content and talent, primarily through public television. Yeung joined PIC in 2005 as administrative assistant and was previously operations manager for the company.

Diane W. Murakami has been promoted to senior vice president of the Business Banking Division’s East Market Region. Murakami has more than 18 years of banking experience. Her responsibili-ties include overseeing the client-relationship management and development of her business banking team, ensuring that the financial needs of the region’s business customers are serviced.

Leanne Kang Ferrer has been hired as program manager for Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC). Ferrer comes to PIC with more than 20 years of experience in the film and television industry. Prior to joining the company, she worked for Disney Films and Pacific Focus Inc.

Benjamin Rafter has been appointed president and CEO of Aqua Hotels & Resorts. In his new position, Rafter will be responsible for advancing the company’s global growth strategy. He most recently served as president and CEO of JetAway/Travelworm, a Las Vegas-based online travel retailer.
