Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Robert G. Sherman has been named dental director for Hawaii Dental Service. His responsibilities include serving as the liaison with HDS participating dentists and the dental community as well as overseeing the clinical review of claims and processing policies. Sherman recently retired from the U.S. Navy after 27 years of active service with the rank of captain (O-6).

Quin Ogawa has been appointed vice president, fiscal services and chief financial officer for Kuakini Health System. Ogawa rejoined Kuakini’s healthcare team to fill his former administrative position following a two-year stint at Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu. He began his career at Kuakini in 1996 as a senior internal auditor.

James Idemoto has been hired as business development manager for ProAccounting Hawaii, a wholly owned line of ProService Hawaii. Idemoto most recently was district manager for ADP in Hawaii, and prior to that served as sales and project manager for POS Systems.

Karyn Shaunnessy has joined Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’Windward office as a Realtor. Shaunnessy possesses knowl-edge and experience in high-end properties as well as relocation, military moves and first-time home buyers. She’s won the Aloha Aina Award in 2007 and 2008 and was awarded Realtor of the Year for Century 21 in Las Vegas.

Christopher Chong has been promoted to assistant director of IT for Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa. Chong has more than 10 years of IT experience, including instruction, training and network administration. He began his teaching career in 1997 as a teaching assistant at UH-Manoa’s Computer Science Department.

Anita Chan has been appointed assistant director of finance for Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa. She has more than 14 years of experience in accounting and finance from her previous positions at GNB Technologies in Minnesota and Revlon Mid-Pacific in Hawaii. She joined the resort as a staff accountant and was promoted to assistant director of finance at Hilton Waikoloa Village in 2007.
