Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Bruce Bottorff has been named public information specialist for the East-West Center in the office of external affairs. Bottorff previously served for three years in city government as senior speechwriter for former Mayor Jeremy Harris.

Amin Leiman has been named senior risk consulting and compliance manager for KHM. Leiman will be responsible for expanding the information technology component. He has 18 years of broadbased technology experience.

Sara Muraoka has been named director of marketing from marketing manager for Hawaiian Host Chocolates. She joined the company in 2000.

Carina Tagupa has been named community relations specialist in policy, government and public affairs for the Chevron Texaco Hawaii Refinery. She previously worked as the Senate minority research office director at the state Capitol.

Harris Ichida has been promoted to wine and spirit outlet manager for the Sheraton Waikiki. Ichida started with the company in 2002 as an assistant outlet manager at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant.

Bill Nickerson has been promoted to general manager and maitre’d from manager for Morton’s The Steakhouse. Nickerson has over 25 years of restaurant management experience.

David Martin has been promoted to regional manager for Morton’s The Steakhouse. Martin will be responsible for management teams in Honolulu, Hong Kong, Singapore,Vancouver, Portland and Seattle.

Katherine Louie has been promoted to Hawaii sales manager for Continental Airlines. She has been with the company for 25 years; she started as a reservation agent in Los Angeles. Louie previously served as Continental Airlines’ service manager.

Daniel T. Kanekuni has been named vice president and principal with WCIT Architecture. He has over 20 years of experience in hospitality, commercial, residential and entertainment design.

Kendall J. H. Wong has been named assistant vice president and branch manager of the Kaneohe branch of First Hawaiian Bank. Wong joined FHB in 1992 as assistant branch manager.

Florence F. Pajardo has become a registered paralegal with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations Inc. and a Certified PLS with NALS, the association for legal professionals. Pajardo is the legal assistant/ paralegal to attorney Judith Ann Pavey. She has worked in the law firm for the past 17 years.

Kimo B. Todd has been appointed to vice president and trust tax manager of the personal trust department for First Hawaiian Bank. Todd previously worked at Deloitte and Touche as a tax manager.

Stacey Y. Ginoza has been appointed to branch support officer of the service delivery division for First Hawaiian Bank. She started with the company in 1990 as a management trainee.

Yuko Sukawa has been promoted to Oahu guest services supervisor from senior guest services agent for Atlantis Adventures. She will be responsible for supervising the guest services for both Atlantis Submarines and Atlantis Cruises. She has been with the company since 1996.

Teri-Lynn Parel has been named agency service center manager for Atlantis Adventures. She will be responsible for managing reservations and sales service functions on Oahu.

Lauren Merrill has been promoted to sales manager for Atlantis Adventures. She joined the company in 2003 as sales coordinator.

James “Jack” K. Bulla has been promoted from senior vice president of Bankoh Investment Services to president and chief executive officer of BISI and senior vice president of Bank of Hawaii.
