Yuriy Mikhaylov has been appointed structural designer for Baldridge & Associates Structural Engineering Inc. He is a graduate of UH Manoa with a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in civil engineering. Mikhaylov previously served at Park Engineering in Honolulu for three years.
Nelson Becerra has been named Realtor-associate for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. Becerra joined the King Street office and specializes in high-end condominiums and homes. Prior to joining CBP, he served as Realtor-associate at Mary Worrall Associates Sotheby’s International Realty.
M. Leo Hart has been appointed director of sales for Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa in Waikiki. In this position, Hart focuses on working with group sales and catering teams to generate opportunities and group bookings. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the Hilton, having worked in senior-level leadership roles for such hotel companies as Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont and Hyatt.
Nancy Gorospe, a fountain dispenser at the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, was recently named the Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year at the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association’s (HHLA) Na Poe Paahana awards luncheon at Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa. Gorospe was selected to receive the lodging industry’s top annual award based on her “above and beyond” level of service at the Moana Surfrider.
