Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Susanna Li, an incoming Hawaii Pacific University freshman, has been awarded the Lloyd M. Fujie Scholarship. A McKinley High School graduate, Li will study accounting and aspires to establish an accounting firm. She was a member of the McKinley High School Leo Club. She has participated in community cleanups, volunteered to help the homeless and tutored at her school. Fujie, who died in 2006, was a senior vice president and chief financial officer at HPU. He also served 32 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Brian T. Stewart has been named chief financial officer for Mobi PCS. Stewart will be responsible for all financial operations including strategic financial planning, financial analysis, accounting, budgeting and reporting. Most recently, Stewart served as vice president, controller for Hawaiian Airlines.
Ikaika Uchima has been hired by Orasi Design, a leading Honolulu design firm, as its new senior director. Uchima most recently served as a graphic designer at Margo Tahitian Pearl in Hawaii. Uchima’s prior experience includes work in the fashion industry as well as at graphic design and digital media companies in Southern California.
Timothy Deegan has been hired by Maui Divers Jewelry as vice president of marketing. Deegan will lead strategic marketing, advertising and sales promotion for Hawaii’s largest jewelry manufacturer and retailer. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Loomis Integrated.
Francis Choe has been appointed communications associate for The Limtiaco Company. In his new role, Choe will provide clients with tactical and editorial support, specializing in governmental affairs and social media. Choe previously worked in political campaigns and Hawaii government, most recently in the Hawaii state Senate as a legislative assistant to state Sen. Brickwood Galuteria.
