Richard Towle has been named chief financial officer for Kona Brewing Company. He will be responsible for financial operations of the two restaurants. He has 36 years of management experience in both privately and publicly owned companies.
Debbie DaySandobal has been named general manager of Kona Brewing Company at Koko Marina. She previously worked at Guckenheimer Enterprises in California.
Daniel York has been named kitchen manager and chef for Kona Brewing Company at Koko Marina.
He previously worked at Haleiwa Joe’s.
Valerie Katz has been named vice president of claims for Island Insurance Company. Katz previously worked as vice president of claims audit for ACE USA Insurance Group.
Ben Dowling has assumed partial ownership of Nick’s Fishmarket. Dowling had been vice president and general manager of Nick’s for the past six years.
Mario R. Ramil has been re-elected chair of the board of directors for St. Francis Residential Care Community, a subsidiary of St. Francis Healthcare System. Ramil serves an attorney with Imanaka, Kudo & Fujimoto.
Taryn Takiguchi has been named marketing supervisor for McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. She will be responsible for working on both local and national marketing programs. She previously worked as marketing manager for Engineering Solutions.
Lance Wilhelm has been named to the YMCA of Honolulu board of directors. He is the senior vice president and Hawaii area manager of Kiewit Building Group. He also serves as a board member of the Honolulu Executive Association, and General Contractor’s Association.
Erik Shimizu has been promoted to market specialist of the agribusiness incubator program at the University of Hawaii. He previously provided management consulting and audit services for global consulting and accounting firms.
