It’s a spring break party that’s so massive, it’s split into two events.
They’re calling it the Spring Break Party Of The Year, and it’s going down at Wet ‘N’ Wild Hawaii this Friday beginning with Event One: A Mega Pool Party, open to all ages from 1 to 6 p.m.
At Stage 1 (Hurricane Bay Wave Pool) DJ Anit and DJ Betty will be rockin’ the ultimate pool party with two special guests Snooki and Mike “The Situation,” stars of the reality show Jersey Shore.
At Stage 2 Natural Vibrations, Po’okela, Jasmin Nicole, Delayed Resistance and a few other local favorites will perform live.
Event 2 is an 18-and-older block party that takes over the park from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with four stages of music. Snooki and The Situation will be at Stage 1 (The Club) as the Freshest DJs spin the hottest music video mixes on three giant screens.
At Stage 2 (The Concert) Natural Vibrations returns with Ooklah the Moc, Conscious Roots and TTYM.
Stage 3 (The Rave) is the Lucky Charms party area hosted by OOSpot where L.A. born DJ Irene will make a special guest appearance. DJ Irene is one of the world’s most in-demand DJs, and her CD sales also make her one of the biggest-selling DJs. Joining DJ Irene at Lucky Charms at the Lazy River island are G-Spot, Tide, Xanergy, Soundsex and Nikki.
“Lucky Charms is an event that I do every March, so this year we’re having it at this Spring Break event,” says G-Spot, DJ and owner of OOSpot. “That whole island is going to be a big dance party and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
And last but not least, it will be strictly the best dancehall and reggaeton at Stage 4.
Cost is $20 advance, $25-$30 at the door and $100 for VIP, which includes VIP access to both events and exclusive VIP area, two complimentary drinks, a souvenir lanyard, and a guaranteed chance to meet Snooki and The Situation.

UH Manoa music major Tim Rose is just months away from graduation, and what better way to celebrate than with the release of a debut album.
Rose titled his EP release Extended Play, saying that since this is his first solo project, he didn’t want a title that was too heavy, but rather let his music do the talking.
“I see myself as someone who is going through life and taking notes, so I didn’t want my album title to sound like I think I know what I’m doing and be all serious,” says Rose.
Produced by Brad Watanabe, the five-track album features original songs Alone I Drift, Coffee In The Pot, Glad You’re Here, Tunnel of Trees and Fire Eyes.
“My schooling is in classical music, so what I do for school and for my own creativity are two different worlds,” adds Rose. “I’m also getting a minor in English literature, so the writing aspect of music really interests me - the way that music and words interact to convey a cohesiveness.”
Rose kicks off his album release with a party this Thursday (March 17) from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Tropics. There’s no cover charge. Opening the evening is Sofa King, followed by Rose. And finishing up the a.m. portion of the party is music spun by KTUH DJs ...
Over at Hawaii Theatre, Robert Cazimero takes the stage to celebrate Hawaiian composers R. Alexander Anderson and Helen Desha Beamer this Saturday (March 19) at 7:30 p.m.

Cazimero pulls from his many talents for this production as director, musical director, choreographer, musician and vocalist. Joining him are Dennis Wong on guitar, Richard Heirakuji Jr. on bass guitar and Jeff AuHoy on steel guitar.
Also taking the stage are The Ladies of the Royal Dance Company, the gentlemen of Halau Na Kamalei o Lilillehua, hula soloist Kanoe Miller and recording artist Kaipo Hale.
Special guests include Gaye Kathleen Beamer, Mahi Beamer, Anderson’s daughter Pamela (who will be celebrating her birthday) as well as Anderson’s son Leith.
The special evening honors R. Alex Anderson, whose first hit and favorite song, Haole Hula, was written in 1927. Well-known for his hapa-haole compositions, Anderson went on to write hundreds of songs including favorites such as Lovely Hula Hands, Mele Kalikimaka, Red ‘Opu and White Ginger Blossoms.
The evening also honors Helen Desha Beamer, who was inducted into the Hawaiian Entertainment Hall of Fame in 1974 and the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 1995. She made the first commercial recording of Ke Kali Nei Au in 1928 with Sam Kapu on Columbia Records, and later composed popular hits such as Moani Ke ‘Ala, Pua Wa’awa’a, Ka’ahumanu, Keawaiki and Kimo Hula.

Also happening Saturday at 8:30 p.m. is the celebration of Family Dinner‘s debut album Now Serving at The Old Spaghetti Factory.
The hip-hop, funk band will dish out an evening packed with music and food to satisfy your hunger. Tickets are $30 and include live music, a CD, T-shirt and spaghetti buffet. In addition to the main course (Family Dinner), the evening will feature performances by The Waves, Jason Tom, the beat box connoisseur, and The Bentos.

Be prepared to redefine your expectations of what hip-hop is and is capable of becoming with a whole lot of funk, time traveling and a touch of cheese.”
