Disney Vacation Club recently began sales for Aulani, Disney’s first family resort in Hawaii, located on 21 acres of oceanfront land within the Ko Olina Resort & Marina development.
The first phase, which includes 481 two-bedroom Disney Vacation Club villas, is scheduled to open in fall 2011. Upon its completion, the resort also will include 360 traditional hotel rooms, an 18,000-square-foot spa, two restaurants, a wedding lawn, a kids club, conference center and pool area.
Inspired by the Hawaiian culture, Aulani’s architecture is a modern interpretation of ancient villages. Hawaiian materials such as volcanic stone columns, torch lights and geometric prints from kapa will be incorporated in the design throughout the property.
