St. Anthony’s Catholic Church will have a fashion show and dinner Saturday in Father Henry Hall following 5 p.m. Mass to benefit its community outreach programs.

The show features donated clothing modeled by pageant winners and many other volunteers of all ages. Coordinated by parishioner Lisa Lange, the fundraiser accepts donated items until Friday, such as fashionable clothing, jewelry, shoes and especially tablecloths.

Models include winners of 2011 and 2012 pageants, including Lara Leimana Fonoimoana (Mrs. Hawaii), Ashlee Kozuma (Teen Oahu World), Krislynn Silva (Miss Hawaii All American Teen), Alanakai Mahelona (Jr. Teen Hawaii World) and Mia Williams (Miss Teen Central Oahu Globe).

Tickets cost $12 and include a catered dinner. They are on sale after each Mass and in the church thrift shop. Keiki 10 and younger are admitted free.

The Kailua church’s outreach program helps people in need on the Windward side. “By collecting money for the less fortunate, we will be able to support the homeless by providing them with food or helping families to pay their utilities bill,” explained show organizer Tracy Hoevel. “St. Anthony’s Church wants to be a place for people to go to find some shelter.

“It’s so sad,” she added. “There are so many people coming in now because they are hungry.”

The church is located at 148 Makawao St. For more information, call Hoevel at 224-0800 or Lange at 7723437.
