Artwork by Hawaii students, including two contributions from Windward Oahu public schools, are part of a rotating exhibit now under way at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C.

Honorees include Mitchell Fong of Castle High School and Noeau James of Kahuku High and Intermediate School.

Theirs were among 1,500 entries in the Hawaii Regional Scholastic Awards competition, which mounted an earlier show at the Hawaii State Art Museum.

Only 28 were selected for this national exposure.

The Rotating Art Exhibit runs from Sept. 14 to Oct. 31 in the nation’s Capitol.
