The Royal Hawaiian Hotel celebrated its 80th anniversary with a special reception in its Monarch Room on Feb. 1 with an art exhibit featuring prints from Matson Navigation’s archives on display through April 30. Bill Tapia, who also performed on the opening night of the Pink Palace, entertained guests along with Mihana Souza and the Kahalepuna Trio.
