Ryan’s Grill was rocking on Aug. 17 as media personalities, friends and family gathered for an aloha celebration for KHNL News8 sports director Russell Yamanoha. After more than 17 years at KHNL (the last five juggled between KHNL and Prudential Locations), Russell has chosen to focus on his increasingly demanding real estate career. But he hasn’t entirely left the media - sports fans can catch Russell on KUMU AM 1500 (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 a.m.) talking sports and other things with Pacific-West Conference commissioner and MidWeek columnist Bob Hogue.
