More than 400 guests attended the grand opening of Atlantis Seafood & Steak Restaurant in Waikiki on Jan. 7, including state Sen. Donna Mercado-Kim and City Councilmembers Romy Cachola, Donovan Dela Cruz, Ann Kobayashi and Rod Tam. During the event, Mayor Mufi Hannemann entertained guests with the song Venus, reminiscent of the new restaurant’s location at the site of the former Waikiki III Theater.
