Dear Pamela,

I went to Territorial Savings to report a fraudulent $10 charge, and Officer Kim efficiently handled my report. Then he handed me $10 and insisted that it was for my lunch. I was speechless.

I had to hurry to make an appointment with a chiropractor for my painful leg, and as I slowly walked down the stairs, Officer Kim rushed over and asked if I was OK. Jason Barnhill from nearby Nathan’s Hot Dog Stand overheard us and offered to drive me to my appointment. I made it on time!

At the end of the day I thanked the Lord for a wonderful day and the kindness that warmed my heart!

Dear Esther,

Marianne Eisman, customer representative at Territorial Savings downtown, says the episode started with you receiving a counterfeit $10 bill. “Officer Bill Kim is with HPD, and he is the one who filed the report and made Esther feel so comfortable. We had to confiscate the bill. Realizing the money was important to someone on a fixed income, he gave her $10 out of his own pocket.”

Dear Pamela,

After having lunch at Hong Kong Orchid Restaurant, I stood out in the rain searching for my car keys. Guess what? I locked them in my car. I asked manager Patrick Lee if I could use his phone and he immediately offered to take me home to get my spare key. I told him my house key was also in the car, so maybe it would be better for me to call AAA.

When the truck arrived he got an umbrella, walked me to the car, waited as they opened the door, then wished me a safe trip home.
