A Sincerely Special Sushi Staff

I would like to say thank you to the staff of Genki Sushi Ala Moana and the Ala Moana security. One night while enjoying our food, my husband fainted and was heading for the floor. After reaching over to grab him, I yelled for help, and the customers behind me and some Genki Sushi staff came to the rescue. My husband came to shortly after, which seemed forever!
To make a long story short, my husband is fine.
Thanks to the young man and his wife, who helped. Also, our good friend James Meyer, a dear friend and nurse, helped on the phone.
I am so thankful for those people that night. It was one that my children and I will never forget. May God bless all of them!

Dear Pamela,
I want to express my gratitude to two sales associates at City Mill Pearl City. My wife is recovering from hip surgery and requires a bed step stool. We are in our 80s, and as the caregiver I wanted to get something that allowed my wife to get on and off the bed without difficulty. Our family doctor has a metal bed step stool for patients, and I’ve tried to locate a similar stool at three medical equipment stores. The one available costs up to $100.
At City Mill, Natz suggested lumber and plywood. Roy in the carpenter shop cut the lumber to the desired size and put together the stool. The charges for everything were less than $30. It was truly a grand demonstration of aloha spirit and the inherent goodness of people. It also demonstrated the exceptional quality of service provided by City Mill.

City Mill Pearl City sales associates Roy Urmementa and Ray Natz say they were just doing their jobs. “I wanted to help him out as best I could,” says Roy. “It made me feel good to get the job done.”
Dear Pamela,
I would like to send a Big Mahalo to Tim, who found my red plastic container at the Ko Olina Resort lagoon No. 4. It had my driver’s license, wedding ring and money in it. I didn’t realize it was missing until the next day. I prayed a Good Samaritan would find it and he did. Thanks again and God bless you.

Tim Kurashima, an information specialist with British Aerospace, was at the beach with his family when he spotted your container. “It was in a bush near the showers. I picked it up and looked inside. We couldn’t find a phone number, so we thought it best to call police. I’m glad it relieved her mind.”
