Dear Pamela,
Please give APPLAUSE to the customers and employees of the Salt Lake Safeway. A customer turned in my coin purse with all my money and cards intact. What a wonderful and joyful phone call from the Safeway clerk informing me that my coin purse was at their customer service counter. I really appreciate the efforts of all who had a hand in returning my purse. I will donate more to the fund drives this year in celebration of my good fortune. God’s blessings always.

Dear Pamela,
I was about to leave my house this morning when I realized that my bag was half-empty; my wallet was gone! In all the confusion I remembered that the last place I took it out was at Safeway in Manoa the night before. I remember setting it in the shopping cart (a definite no-no!) and was afraid that it would already be long gone. Thankfully, an honest anonymous individual returned my wallet to customer service with everything intact. Thank you!

Dear Pamela,
I locked the keys to my Camry inside the car at Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. I was desperate to get home right away because I had to give my mother her medication on time. I just went into Safeway and talked to the first person I saw, who was a young man in the express line. He came right out, followed by a bagger, and together they opened my door with a clothes hanger. I want them to know how much I appreciate their kokua!

Dear Roseanne, Michelle and Maile,
The staffs at the Hawaii Kai, Manoa and Salt Lake Safeways thank you for acknowledging their assistance. “Shoppers can always come to customer service when they lose something or have a problem,” says Stanley Benito, assistant manager of Safeway Salt Lake.
