Aloha Pamela,

In a world of constant negativity in the media, I’m happy that MidWeek is adding to the much-needed positivity in our community. So thank you!

Yesterday I lost my cell phone at Kaimana Beach while taking wedding pictures of a friend. I didn’t realize that I’d lost it until I got home a few hours later.

My cell phone has become as important as my wallet, as I had a lot of irreplaceable information and pictures on there. Needless to say I was pretty worried because anyone could find it and use it for anything. I thought I’d just try to call my phone and a gentleman named Salim answered. He said his son found my phone on the grass at Kaimana and they were actually walking to the Waikiki Beach police station to drop it off as we were speaking. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, I had my phone back!

Big applause to Salim and his family and the Waikiki Police Station for reuniting me with my cell phone, proof that there are still honest and caring people in this world!

Dear Pamela,

One night after our guests had left I was putting things away and noticed I couldn’t find my handbag. I looked everywhere. I had a terrible night! Very early the next morning I called Safeway, where I had done my shopping the day before. They asked me to describe my handbag. They had it. When I picked it up everything was there, money, credit cards, etc. My bag was in the shopping cart in the parking lot. How could I be so fortunate to have someone like this person find my handbag. Please extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation. May God bless this person, their family and loved ones. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Pamela,

I’m writing to you to give APPLAUSE to a very nice gentleman, George. I left my bank bag outside PriceBusters in Hawaii Kai. George found it and waited there for some time. I hadn’t realized I lost it. I went back but couldn’t find it there. The next morning, I went to my bank and changed account numbers. While I was there, George was trying to track me down. He left a note with his phone number on my house door, so he could get my bag to me ASAP.

Thank you, George. I really appreciate your gesture of kindness!

Aloha Pamela,

It was one of those days. I dashed off to the bank, did my business and left to go shopping. When I stood in line to pay for my items, I could not find my wallet in my backpack. You must know how it feels to discover that you have lost your wallet with everything in it. After frantically retracing my steps to my car and not finding it, I figured I must have lost it somewhere between the bank and my car. Imagine my relief when I checked at the desk and was told that someone had turned it in to a teller. A big MAHALO to the First Hawaiian Bank customer who turned it in intact. I didn’t get

your name, but you really made my day. I am thankful for your honesty and integrity. God bless you.
