I purchased an RCA CD player from Wal-Mart on Keeaumoku, brought it home and connected it. Great! But a week later it wasn’t working. I’d unplug it and replug it and bingo, it would work. This happened several times.
Then I had some major surgery. Home recuperating, trying to enjoy my CDs, but the player wouldn’t work at all. I called Wal-Mart and they said to bring it in. I told store manager Walter Lott I couldn’t lift anything because of my surgery and he said he would take care of it.
To make a long story short, that day at 4 p.m. Charlie came over and replaced the CD player with a new one. I was so pleased! I must commend Wal-Mart, Mr. Lott and Charlie and another lady who came with Charlie. Mahalo!

Everyone is searching for a friend who is supportive, compassionate, kind and thoughtful. Friends like that are as rare as hen’s teeth. I’m very lucky I found her. When I call Sister Naomi Correa she always has time to listen and talk. She never says “someone is on the line or at the door” and then dismisses you.
On special holidays she invites all her friends and relatives for a festive occasion, but never forgets to send a car to take me to and from the activities. She’s my angel, and I don’t know how to repay her for her kindness except to say “I love you. Mahalo from the bottom of my heart!” She really deserves APPLAUSE for being so good to me and everyone.

Dear Alma,
“I live on the next road and have known Alma and her husband for years,” says Naomi Correa (Sister is a nickname). “Now that Alma’s husband has passed away and her two children are away, she lives alone and loves company. I am homebound, too. I cannot walk without a walker, so really, any good deeds I do are done through my grandchildren. Whenever I have a party, they go and bring Alma to the house and bring her home. The APPLAUSE should go to them.”
