It is so wonderful to know there are people out there who deserve recognition for their kindness and unselfishness. After having breakfast at Zippy’s McCully with some friends, I got into my car and immediately the alarm went off. I was unable to turn this loud, horrible sound off in the middle of the parking lot.
Mr. Henry Chu appeared and tried to help me. When we could not get it to stop we tried calling Honda, but no one could help me. I needed to go back to Waipahu to my house. This man took me to Waipahu then to Longs to get batteries, then back to my car where I was able to stop the alarm on my car.
Mr. Chu is a retired airline pilot. He was a complete gentleman and did not want any money for gas for his time. I sent him a thank-you note, but it was returned because I had the wrong Henry Chu. If you are out there, Mr. Chu, I would like to say thank you so much for that day. I really think you are a terrific person.

I forgot my coin purse/wallet with credit cards, license, money, you name it, at the Hawaii Kai Safeway. Ten minutes after realizing my loss, panic set in and I returned to Safeway. Initially, customer service said no wallet was found. As I returned to my car, Lehua from Safeway ran out to the parking lot and told me a gentleman found my coin purse/wallet in the shopping cart. Unfortunately, the name of this angel of a man was not obtained, and as we returned to look for him, he was nowhere to be found. I do hope this honest, kind angel of a gentleman reads your article, as he gave much relief to me. What a breath of fresh air this gentleman is to our human race. Thank you sooo much for your kindness and honesty.

It has become so easy to be cynical in these changing times. We presume that a lost wallet will be lost forever. We presume the contents will be stolen. Thanks to your Anonymous Angel and people like him, our faith is restored in the goodness of our neighbors.
