Dear Pamela, I’m writing to you with the hopes that you’ll be able to assist me in acknowledging some very special angels. I had minor surgery at Pali Momi. For most people, this wouldn’t be a big deal, however, I have agoraphobia and a panic disorder, so this was a very trying time for me. The day before the surgery Maria called to pre-register me. I told her about my disorder and she was very kind and patiently explained the procedure to me. She was reassuring and comforting. My other angels I’d like to acknowledge are: Selina, Nilo, Bob, Mark, Dr. Nishijo, Dana, BJ and Jay. Every health care provider I came into contact with that day was comforting and reassuring. I was amazed at how attentive everyone was and how many of them were assigned to one patient.
Also, please help me send a big APPLAUSE to Dr. Ronald Ayabe and his staff as well: Mel, Vangie and Merle. Dr. Ayabe preformed the surgery and met with me right before the surgery. He was very kind and reassuring, and this helped calm my nerves. He even met with my boyfriend while I was in recovery to inform him of the results. I’ve had subsequent follow-ups with Dr. Ayabe, and each time he’s been very thorough and took the time to answer all my questions and explain things to me. I could-n’t possibly find the right words to convey how thankful I am . They truly are special angels.

Dear Emiko, “So how sweet of her to write,” says Dr. Ronald Abaye, who gives credit to medical assistants Amelia (Mel) Urmetta and Evangeline (Vangie) Nidas, and office manager Merle Daida. “Emiko was a wonderful patient, always positive. That makes our jobs so much easier.”

Dear Pamela, One afternoon i was at the Jamba Juice in Kapahulu just having a wonderful day. i got home n logged onto
Facebook. i got a message from a Dana Appleget saying “I found your wallet in parking lot hope u get this message.” I thought it was a scam. But i looked in my bag..no wallet! Ran out to look in my car..no wallet! So i went back to my laptop n messaged her please call me back on my cell#. My wallet contained my drivers license, new credit card n over $600 in cash.
She met me at Starbucks holding up my wallet! I can’t tell u how relieved i was. She said she tried to call hmsa because my insurance card was in the wallet, lol. EVERYTHING was still in my wallet. I thanked her over n over n told her u r an angel! I haven’t met an honest person like u in a looong time. I gave her a cash reward and she wouldn’t even take that. I told her, no u deserve it n gave it to her. We need more people like her! Thank U Dana!
