Putting ‘Service’ In Postal Service

I want to send APPLAUSE to a sweet and kind mail lady at Kaimuki Post Office. I had a hair appointment that day, so I parked near the shop. I realized the post office was just three blocks away, so I decided to walk there and mail a package to my daughter. By the time I got there I was hurting so badly I could hardly walk.
The post office was closed for lunch. Just then a mail lady arrived and saw me leaning on my cane. She took my package and said, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of it.” Gold bless her. I didn’t even get her name before she left. I do believe there are angels walking all around us. She is one of them.

My husband was involved in an accident at the intersection of Kawaihae Street and Hawaii Kai Drive. After the collision, the front of his car burst into flames.
He was dazed, and some people helped him out of the burning car. Mrs. Ellen Arakawa settled him in a chair to wait for the emergency crews and gave him her cell phone to call me, and then followed up with a call to us later in the evening.
Thankfully he escaped with only a few bruises and no one else was hurt. The driver of the truck that was hit helped redirect traffic until the police came.
A mere “thank you” to those who initially came out of homes or cars to help seems so inadequate.
It takes courage and a deep caring for humanity to approach a burning car to render help to someone.
Thank you to the emergency crews who responded so quickly. Please know that we are so very grateful. We pray that peace will follow all of you all the days of your life.

The EMS personnel involved were paramedic Mitchell Kam and EMT Yu Sung Kim. “Our EMS personnel are very appreciative when they receive a thank you or words of praise, especially during this time of crisis for the patient and family,” says District Chief Norman Hahn. “We appreciate that Mrs. Ching spent time to send this very nice letter. We hope that Mr. Ching and all other parties are fully recovered.”
Dear Pamela,
I wanted to give a shout out to Margaret, who works in the bakery at the Safeway in Kaneohe. I have celiac disease, which means I can’t digest gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, rye and sometimes oats, so finding safe foods for me to eat is tricky and very limited.
I love the French Meadow brand of gluten-free tortillas that Safeway sells. I’ve only see it at the store in Kaneohe, and since I don’t live in the area anymore it’s a bit of a trek to go there.
On two occasions Margaret came to my rescue, taking my contact information and calling me when a shipment came in, and then holding a set amount in the back freezer for me so I
could pick them up when I was in the area.
Safeway’s excellent customer service is greatly appreciated.

Kaneohe Safeway bakery sales representatives Margaret Nicole and Michelle Freitas are happy you found what you needed. “She came in when there were only a few tortillas left and she wanted a whole bunch,” says Michelle. “When the shipment came in she was so thankful. This is something we would do for any of our customers.”
