Reunion With A Lost Passport

After shopping at Don Quijote and Foodland at Pearl City Shopping Center, I discovered my passport was missing. I use it to store my bills as well as for identification. I called Don Quijote. No one had turned it in. Then I called Foodland and they told me the cashier turned it in to Lost and Found. Thank God, what a relief!
I went to retrieve it and the money was still there. My heart-felt thanks to Foodland Pearl City for your caring and honesty.

Foodland corporate communications director Sheryl Toda says it was business as usual. “At our company we believe strongly in customer service,” she says. “We encourage all our employees help the customers. We’re glad we could help reuniting Mary with her passport.”
Dear Pamela,
We want to say “thank you” to the cashier and theater manager at Ward Theatres for letting us into a movie after my grandson lost his ticket. They really didn’t have to do that; they could have been “hard-nosed” about it and required us to buy another ticket and wait another hour for the next performance. It really warms the heart in these times to have people who are willing to take an extra step.

We were awakened by our dog barking at midnight. There were two cars with a bunch of teenagers parked in front of our house. They got out of the car and starting running up and down the street, making a lot of noise. My son called 911, so police officers came and talked to the teenagers and that’s when they left What a relief. We kindly extend our heartfelt thanks.

The officers who responded from District 2 (Wahiawa) were Sgt. Malcolm Uehara and officers James Gombio and Albert Ah Yuen. HPD spokeswoman Michelle Yu says, “We encourage residents to get involved by calling 911 to report suspicious activity. Whatever information they can provide, such as descriptions of the persons and vehicles, is helpful to the officers.”
