Hi Pamela,
Sunday we enjoyed a family birthday party at Pearlridge Chili’s. Unfortunately, upon returning to Kailua, one of the guests discovered that her purse was missing. A call was made and we were told that no purse had been turned in. Fearing the worst, we immediately drove back to Chili’s to see for ourselves. We asked to see a manager. That’s when we met Sheila. She said she had the purse in the back. We were so thankful that our situation turned out positively. Thank you, Sheila!
Jane Anderson
Kailua
Dear Jane,
Sheila Veikoso of Chili’s Pearlridge remembers your black bag. “Anything found on the tables is turned in and held in our safe until someone claims the item. I remember she shook my hand and was so grateful. I’m glad it turned out OK for her.”
Dear Pamela,
I had the most enjoyable ride back to my apartment on the No. 8 bus from Ala Moana this morning. I don’t know the driver’s name, but he made the ride so entertaining that some people even missed their stops and just stayed on the bus. He had us all laughing. It is too bad there aren’t more drivers like that.
Bea Keeler
Waikiki
Dear Bea,
Your entertaining driver on the No. 8 Ala Moana bus was Marc Behic, who apparently makes it a habit of leaving his riders laughing. Marc’s file is filled with letters of praise from bus riders on his route.
Dear Pamela,
While standing in the cashier line at Longs Pearlridge, I became dizzy, passed out, and when I regained my senses there were a number of Longs employees assisting me. Manager Kevin and his staff immediately called an ambulance, someone called my home, another person got some tissue, another stopped the bleeding from some small scratches by my eye, and another young lady cradled me so I wouldn’t try to get up and perhaps fall again.
The ambulance quickly dispatched me to Pali Momi Medical Center, where the emergency personnel took care of my medical needs and pronounced me fit to return home.
Although I was impressed with Pali Momi’s staff, who were well-trained to assist in medical emergencies, I was even more grateful for the staff at Longs Pearlridge who may not have had the training to help someone in trouble. They assisted me with their kindness and caring without hesitation.
Mahalo.
Jisan Hyodo
Pearlridge
Dear Jisan,
The staff at Pearlridge Longs, especially department managers Kevin Asato and Elton Ehia, and cashier Gaylen Borges, thank you for the flowers and cookies that were waiting for them upon your recovery.
