Dear Pamela,

I hadn’t been to the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse in many years, but I did not anticipate problems driving there. I was completely lost and getting more and more frustrated.

I spotted a man and woman walking down the street and asked directions. This wonderful, kind man said wait a minute, he would go to his truck and I could follow him. After several right turns, this selfless, generous man waved me off as we pulled into the parking lot. He had come to my rescue and drove away. He did stop long enough to tell me his name: Maynard.

Mahalo, Maynard. You are my hero and the epitome of the Aloha Spirit.

Dear Pamela,

I had a very busy, tiring day shopping in Waipio. As I was leaving the parking lot, I saw my angel running and waving her arms at me. She came to the window and thrust my credit card at me. I was so grateful that she had gone to great lengths, but I failed to get any information about her.

Hopefully my angel reads your column in MidWeek.

Dear Pamela,

While at the Windward Community College Hoolaulea, I dropped my wallet and panicked. While searching my purse for it, a vendor approached me and said that a couple of gentlemen went to the stage to turn it in.

Another kind gentleman led me to the stage area, where my wallet was returned to me.

During all of this, I was unaware of who it was that found my wallet. I was not able to thank them and offer a gift.

I hope the two fellas might see this so they know of my appreciation.
