UH Fans Witness Bad Directions

After a UH game we went to Richardson Field to get our car. Imagine our distress when we realized our car was gone. It took a while to find that it had been towed, even though we parked where we were told to. The parking lot manager seemed skeptical that we were told to park there. It was then that two strangers came to our rescue. Guy Kelekolio and Bambi Mason had been parked near me. Both said they saw and heard the parking attendants tell us to park where we did. These two wonderful people stayed with us in the parking lot for an hour waiting to testify on our behalf. After they spoke to the manager, he finally took us to the stadium office and corroborated the story. After an hour and a half, we were finally driven to the tow lot and got our car back without having to pay the towing fee. We are sure that without Guy and Bambi testifying on our behalf, the ending wouldn’t have been so positive!

You had ready allies in Guy and Bambi. “I was upset when I saw their car had been towed,” says Guy Kelekolio. “They were in front of me and we parked at the same time. I don’t know why they were towed and we were not. I work as an usher at Aloha Stadium so I gave them a few names to call to work it all out.”
“The attendants pointed to all of us where to park,” says Bambi Mason, “I thought it was odd that three cars had been towed. The drivers of the other two were already gone, but we stayed for Barry and Sharon.”

A big mahalo goes out to the doctors, nurses and staff of Hawaii Medical Center East for taking good care of my mother, who just had an open-heart surgery. Special thanks goes to Drs. H. Louie (surgeon) and Dr. Danelo Canete (cardiologist), nurses of the fifth floor Sullivan building, namely Renee-Luv, Kim, Emily, Dominic, Vanessa and Rodelia; nurses at the ambulatory department, especially Sheila and Rosalia; to Dawn (Dr. Canete’s assistant); the therapists Gayle,Terri, Burt and Cliff. Lastly, great appreciation to Cynthia of the Food and Nutrition Department. And to all our friends and relatives who helped us pull through in those hard times.
