In 2001, my husband Victor and I set out to establish a new kind of real estate firm that would make the buying and selling of real estate an extraordinary and rewarding experience - for our clients, our associates and ourselves. The result was Kahala Associates, the first wholly agent-owned real estate company in Hawaii, and a real estate brokerage founded on the principles of cooperation, integrity, mutual respect and business excellence.

Kahala Associates has set itself apart by implementing an agent-ownership model where each agent (and staff personnel) is an owner of the business and through cooperation rather than competition we are able to do more for others and ourselves. Operating finances are transparent and each agent shares the responsibility of ownership by agreeing to assume their fair share of expenses, contribute to profit and capital investments to run the company. Our collective desire for delivery of the highest quality level of service allows us to offer a full range of assistance through highly skilled supporting office staff and systems, equipment, marketing materials, and leading industry technology.


As owners sharing responsibility of the company, we eliminate the dividing lines of hierarchy as each agent has a voice in the strategic direction of the company, oversight and management of its growth. This ability affords the important flexibility to assist their diverse and growing clientele.
