Managing Director of Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beach Walk

For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of living and working in these beautiful islands for some of the best-known and most-luxurious resort properties. Most recently, I served as hotel manager of The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui, and before that as general manager of the Maui Prince Hotel and Makena Golf Courses.

Having also worked in many destinations outside of Hawaii, I can tell you that nowhere else compares to the genuine warmth and naturally inherent hospitality of the Hawaiian culture. It is this that sets us apart, as well as the pristine beauty and incredible climate that draws visitors from all over the world.

For as long as I’ve lived in these Islands, no new luxury hotel has been built in Waikiki. Later this year, however, this is exactly what we will welcome to this fabled destination.

For the past three years, along with developer Irongate AZREP BW LLC, talented architects and designers, hardworking construction crews and countless others have made steady progress on the 38-story, 462-suite Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beach Walk. Once it is completed and makes its debut later this year, it will be the first-ever Trump project in Hawaii, and I am honored to have been given the opportunity to raise the curtain.

The tourism industry has not been spared the difficulties of this recent and dire economic downturn.

But it is my sincere hope that by introducing a new level of luxury to Waikiki, the unveiling of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beach Walk will offer fresh inspiration and energy while providing a distinctly Hawaiian experience that can be duplicated nowhere else in the world. I firmly believe that Trump Waikiki will bring a new level of prestige to our community and will help solidify Waikiki as a pre-eminent, world-class vacation destination.

Located just steps away from world-famous Waikiki beach, the project will offer an array of amenities and services, including Trump Hotel Collection’s signature Attaché services, The Spa at Trump, a casual lobby café restaurant, lobby bar, infinity edge plunge pool, fitness center, 24-hour room service, oversized suites complete with kitchens and expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and Fort DeRussy Park, and BLT Steak, an American steakhouse that has garnered acclaim across the globe.

These signature amenities, combined with the unparalleled luxury of the Trump brand and the renowned beauty and hospitality of Hawaii, will inspire people from around the world to come explore our Islands.

The opening of Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki Beach Walk will bring added attention to this amazing destination, while providing the most luxurious vacation experience in Waikiki.

I look forward to sharing Hawaiian culture, values and history with our guests from all over the world.
