In 1961, Xerox Hawaii opened its doors with 10 employees, offering Hawaii’s businesses access to the world’s most advanced copier products and services. For the 10 employees who were hired, it meant being with a company that was not only destined for growth, but valued corporate loyalty. Fifty years and 200 employees later, Xerox Hawaii continues to be the state’s leading document management company.

How have we maintained this level of success over five decades? Our employees.


More than half of Xerox Hawaii’s employees have been with the company for more than 25 years, with several going on 40-plus years. The longevity of our Xerox ohana says a lot about the way Xerox treats its staff, and as a result customers receive top-notch service from veteran, dedicated Xerox employees.

At Xerox Hawaii, we invest $50,000-plus in training for each new hire, and thousands more each year for additional training, employee incentives and benefits including a $10,000 annual fund employees can use for child care, continuing education, adoption fees or elderly care.

Giving back to the community is also a big part of who we are. The Xerox Community Involvement Program (XCIP) is a worldwide initiative providing each division with an annual budget to implement community-based projects. Here in Hawaii, we have a team of volunteer employees who make the decisions on what projects to fund

Big Brothers Big Sisters, Easter Seals Hawaii, Palolo Chinese Home and Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii are few organizations our employees have supported through XCIP.

“Be Global, Act Local.” This has been our motto for the past 50 years. It means providing our customers with the best technology and resources available, while maintaining respect for the unique way Hawaii does business.


Operating a successful business in Hawaii requires building strong relationships with your customers, employees and community.

For Xerox Hawaii, maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally is the reason we are still here 50 years later.
