After a full year of providing ocean-related programming for Hawaii’s TV viewers, I’m excited that Ocean Network is already planning to expand to the West Coast. San Diego will be the first Mainland market. What makes this possible is the excellent work of my management team.

We’ve enjoyed aggregating some terrific ocean shows from around the world, plus producing our own Ocean Rush and Transpac Documentary for viewers here, and we have built a loyal following. Now it’s time to export our product to other coastal cities that also will relish our unique TV fare.

Ocean Network is Hawaii’s newest TV station, being carried 24/7 by Oceanic Time Warner Cable on its digital channel 349. ON employs a technology that allows it to control all content and pass through OTWC to viewers, a technique that will serve ON well as it establishes new “footprints” on the Mainland.


Our CEO and CFO Kevin Robinson shared with me that our investors understand the outstanding potential of our business plan as we implement it across the country. So we continue aggregating content and expanding our delivery systems to include what will be a robust website and Internet Protocol TV business, as well as syndication and mobile phone content distribution.

The team of management professionals also includes Michael Shishido, COO and director of programming; Brian Kessler, vice president of sales and business development; and Ryan Campuspos, director of production. Several other experts are affiliated to provide specific services, especially in video production.

Michael Shishido wants you to know that all the programming and control originate here, whether for Hawaii or a Mainland market, and that’s why we’ll have a great economy of scale as we expand. But just as we have a lot of local content here, we will customize the programming for each area. Our Hawaii viewers love it, and we are sure the other cities will, too!

Ryan Campuspos recently finished a documentary called Transpac ‘07: A Race for the

. This documentary is one of the ways that ON is able to localize the programming. He tells me he had a great time shooting and editing this show, and we have so many new possibilities in the offing that it will be exciting to help Hawaii “come alive” in different ways for our local and Mainland audiences. Bryan Kessler brings extensive experience in networking with the West Coast, East Coast and Australia. He’s confided to me that there are so many opportunities for this company. He says the TV stations that we’ll establish are just the tip of the iceberg for building value and creating good return for our investors.

Ocean Network is determined to be an advocate for the oceans, and is already carrying the kind of information that will help viewers know how to take better care of them. ON has received footage from NOAA, Maui Ocean Center, Monterey Bay Aquarium, professional videographers and others.
